The game was released on April 27, 2018. The story mode of the game revolves in the player (a male) going to an all girl’s school in an attempt to get the girls in the school have relationships with the player.

Vs. Koikatsu Party & Koikatsu Sunshine
Koikatsu Party is the name for the Steam version. Koikatsu is the non Steam version. They’re the same thing. Most of Koikatsu’s mods are compatible with sunshine for the most part, but some aren’t. It’s not a big deal anyway. Sunshine is the sequel to Koikatsu and there are some graphic and performance improvements over Koikatsu. It’s set at a tropical resort while Koikatsu’s setting is at school.
Koikatsu Sunshine isn’t backward compatible with Koikatsu in the sense that cards and scenes don’t work with Koikatsu. There’s a workaround for cards but not scenes.
